What is goomo?

Well, Goomo is our business.  We design, then the patterns and garments are produced by us.  We work from our home studio in Geelong, Australia.  We make ladies and baby garments in limited edition runs, and our ladies range is designed in summer and winter ranges.  With our babywear garments, we offer garments for all seasons right the way through the year.  If you’d like to purchase a baby gift for the next season there’s always something available.  

Local production is important to us and many of our merino fabrics are knitted just for us in Melbourne (yep, that’s cool).

We’ve produced superfine Australian merino socks alongside our garment ranges for many years.  In the beginning we hand dyed these individually using only plants and metals.  These were super popular.  For that reason, we still hand dye a range of our merino socks.  Significantly, the new variety are still the same amazing socks.  Today, we dye our Terry lined socks in solid colours, and use a shibori technique to dye our finely constructed socks.

The success of the goomo hand dyed socks inspired us to broaden our sock range to include our beautiful block range, egg and buffalo plaid ranges.  Superfine Australian merino and Australian made, these socks come in all sizes from newborn babies right through to men’s sizes.

The baby socks co-ordinate with our handmade superfine Australian merino leggings, beanies, rompers etc.  Therefore, you may purchase items separately or combine the pieces into a gorgeous gift pack that is presented in a calico gift bag with gift card.  And, to care for your beautiful items your gift bag doubles as a wash bag.

Our goomo socks use the finest quality Australian merino in the most beautiful contemporary colours and designs.

Our ethos is to keep production local, use Australian fabrics and fibres and, super importantly, to utilise the high level of skills of those in Australia.
